Valencia, Espanyol battle for Depor's Verdu

Deportivo La Coruna face losing midfielder Joan Verdu.

Verdu, 25, is one of seven senior Depor players who are off contract in June and free to open Bosman talks with rival clubs from Thursday.

Valencia and Espanyol are keen to secure Verdu to a pre-contract in January.
