Valencia’s Edu on Portsmouth radar
Submitted by Andrew Slevison on Tue, 12/23/2008 - 01:00
Valencia midfielder Edu is attracting interest from a cashed up Portsmouth.
The former Arsenal man is high on manager Tony Adams’ Christmas wishlist but Valencia sporting director Fernando Gomez could not confirm that it was Portsmouth who had inquired about the Brazilian.
“Some clubs have asked about Edu but we have not received any formal offers regarding his exit in January,” Gomez said.
“I do not know about Portsmouth but his agent has some options and a meeting is possible to discuss this. The decision depends on coach Unai Emery.”
