Real Madrid boss Juande Ramos is happy with their two winter market signings, Ajax striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Portsmouth midfielder Lassana Diarra.
"Huntelaar is confident that he'll be okay for the medical on January 4," said Ramos. "Another thing is that I think he is desperate to play after such a long period of inactivity, and I value that.
"Huntelaar is a gambler, a finisher, a goal scorer, who will be good for us."
On Diarra, Ramos added: "Lassana Diarra is about to come if there is agreement. He's a player with balance, very good defensively, versatile, who could even play at right-back. But I would need to see him in training to see if he feels comfortable in that position or not."
