Sampdoria's Palombo emergency AC Milan target

Sampdoria midfielder Angelo Palombo has emerged as a surprise target for AC Milan.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has met with coach Carlo Ancelotti in the last 24 hours to discuss emergency signings in January.

Palombo has been discussed, along with Udinese midfielder Christian Obodo.
