Saganowski: Man Utd's angry Rooney nothing special
Aalborg striker Marek Saganowski has branded Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney as "nothing special" after their 2-2 Champions League draw.
Rooney is in hot water with UEFA after being accused of stamping on Aalborg’s Kasper Risgard.
And Saganowski, who is on-loan at Aalborg from Southampton, said: “Rooney is always angry. When I see him in the Premier League he is always angry when he loses.
“We were happy to get a draw from Old Trafford. We can be proud of this result.
“It was big surprise to be 2-1 up at half time but I think we played good tactics.
“Maybe United thought after they scored an early goal that it was going to be easy.
“I played against good players like Ronald Koeman, Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo. Rooney is a good player but he is not something special.”
He added: “For me he is just human. He wants to win all the time. Sometimes big stars only want to play against the big teams but he always wants to win.
“I will be back playing at Southampton on January 1, so I can probably play in the Cup tie against United. I hope I can play.”
