Barcelona coach Guardiola dismisses Schuster's defeatist claims

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has dismissed the defeatist talk from Real Madrid counterpart Bernd Schuster yesterday.

After defeat to Sevilla, Schuster declared his Real Madrid were incapable of beating Barcelona at the Nou Camp this week.

But Guardiola scoffed: "I wonder if this isn't all a strategy? He's playing a game ..."

The Barca coach smiled: "He is the coach of the current league champions. His teams have always played well. He's a great coach.

"I am convinced that Mr Schuster, both as player and coach, always goes into matches with the intention of winning."
