Drenthe: Real Madrid fans less understanding
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Sun, 12/07/2008 - 07:01
Real Madrid fullback Royston Drenthe admits he struggles to handle the boos from home fans.
The youngster explained: "The boos I take to the heart, because in Holland the fans are not like that. They support their team and if you lose three balls they get behind you even more.
"The fans here are less understanding because Madrid is a great club and always wants to win.
"During the game I do not think of the whistles, but when I come home yes I do, I talk with my father. The whistles are hard, but make you stronger."
