Giovinco hopes to captain Juventus
Sebastian Giovinco has stated that he would one day like to captain Juventus, quashing rumours of a possible move away from the club.
Speaking to Juventus Channel, Giovinco was clear that he had set his sights on several goals for this season.
"I have three goals for the season: the Serie A title, the Champions League and the upcoming European Under 21 finals. I hope to do well in all three."
Reflecting on the rumors about him going on loan, Giovinco was adamant that Turin is where he wants to stay.
"Transfer rumors don't interest me. I have a bond with this jersey and I want to stay at Juventus," Giovinco said.
"There was talk of Arsenal, but there was nothing in that talk. I am here now and I have no intention of leaving."
Questioned on his long term future and his taking over the position and captaincy role played by Alessandro Del Piero, Giovinco said: "Me a future captain? These are big shoes to fill, but I am working towards it."
