Man City can't tempt Messi from Barcelona
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Thu, 12/04/2008 - 09:42
Lionel Messi won't consider leaving Barcelona, no matter how much Manchester City are willing to offer.
City's Abu Dhabi owners have Messi high on their shopping list as they plan to 'introduce' themselves to European football by making a play for a major world star - no matter the cost.
However, Sport says the chances of City landing Messi are 'zero'. The Argentina international is settled at the Nou Camp - and more importantly feels he's now Barca's No1 player following the departures of Ronaldinho and Deco in the summer.
Messi is already the club's highest paid player and has made it clear to his advisors he's not interested in leaving.
