Blackburn boss Ince: We don't need Ince-type midfielder
Blackburn Rovers boss Paul Ince insists they do not need a midfield enforcer.
Critics argue they need an Ince-type character in midfield to take charge and inject some steel to reinforce the attractive football.
Ince said: "I wouldn't say we are lacking a Paul Ince on the pitch. You need characters.
"Vince Grella is the same type of player I was but he has been injured nearly all season. He has been a massive loss for us, as has David Dunn.
"You do need leaders when things aren't going well. Once we get those two back, we'll be all right. But Keith Andrews is doing well and Tugay has been unbelievable - he's making me think about playing again!
"He sat in the dressing room for an hour after the game at Pompey because he was so hurt and disappointed but that's because he cares.
"He doesn't want Rovers to be in trouble but we are where we are and we want to get out of it."
