Mowbray defends West Brom's style of play
Despite being rooted to the foot of the Premiership West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has defended his team's style of play.
He said: "I'm told there's a bit of criticism about 'are we going to change the style of football' and 'will I do this or that?'.
"With due respect to the people asking those questions, they don't understand my team, my philosophy, my work. It isn't going to happen.
"The question seems to grow arms and legs to the extent that it appears to be something new or different. Then it's 'is he being stubborn?'.
"But it's never been attractive football at all costs, I just play the football we play. I've never labelled us 'an attractive football team'. I just try to say, 'This is the way we play'.
"Maybe that label has been stuck on somewhere down the line."
Mowbray added: "I like to be consistent in my life as well as my job and, from day one, I do what I do.
"I make demands of my players then people make their opinions. If it's a footballing match, we'll play football. If not, we do what we have to do."
