I think the whole argument stems from what constitutes the best player. Is it the goal-scoring ability? Or ability to rise up to the ocassion when it matters? Or just consistency throughout the season? We'll never know. What's interesting is that so many ppl doubted ronaldo when he won when that was not the case for most of the other winners. Anyway imo ronaldo is a complete player but messi is the most talented player in his generation and 2 years younger so its scary to think what will happen few years down d line. I expect him to pick up a few of these very soon enough..

i think people are just hating and being unnecessarily sentimental...they say now all ronado has got is just goals and no flair.....but i can remember well when he was embarassing defenders with his incredible dribbling skills (ashley cole can tell) every one was saying he lacked focus and drive for winning matches....now he scores goals more and is far more matured is his plays you still complain. i am 100% sure hes going to win ballon d'or again next year until messi relises there is more to a player than just individual efforts. 42 goals in a season by a winger deserve more than just the ballon d'or...infact i think ronaldo should be named world sports personality of the year....No matter what antics sepp blatter knows he cannot take this years world footballer away from the epl. we have deserved this a long time but now we are going to earn it period....and the only reason chelsea and arsenal fans are hating is because they think why does it always have to be manutd, that is because we have always been competitive in all fronts and worst still we are the ecl champions. I'm a barca fan but i believe ronaldo deserves the award... i dont think he is the best player in the world but he deffinately had the best season, and scored the most goals.
He isn't the best though because he cannot perform in crunch situations... The best players rise to the occasion.
For now i truly believe messi is the best in the world though, and hopefully he'll keep it up for years to come.

Messi is the best on the pitch,well behave,humble,plays well in tough games and have respect for other players.Ronaldo is only noticed in same games,very boastful,childish and lack respect for other players.I respect other people's opnions,Ronaldo has worn it.But Messi has lost nothing infact he's getting up.Last year he was third and this year he's second.That that shows people are getting to understand what the Argine can do.Come next year,Ronaldo will be reduced to nothing.Jah is always on the side of the Humble!One love!
