Ahead of today's clash with Fiorentina, Roma coach Luciano Spalletti admitted regret over their failure to sign Adrian Mutu in the summer.
Spalletti said: “He is a player of immense quality and the negotiations were overseen by our director of sport Daniele Pradè using all the correct channels.
“It would have been nice to have him here, but the overall squad and planning are more important than the individuals. I think Roma will have a good season even without Mutu.”
