Hull boss Brown admits he wanted Stoke pair

Hull City boss Phil Brown admits he was beaten by Stoke City for two summer transfers.
"Dave Kitson was one but we got out very early when the price went over £3 million. (Seyi) Olofinjana was another but the price was again too high,” he said.
"It was not a lack of ambition but we had a certain valuation of those players.
"Tony (Pulis) seems to have spent bigger – a lot more money than we did – but hopefully the £1million George Boatengs and free transfer Geovannis can prove a point tomorrow."
