Manchester United and Chelsea are tracking Xavi's contract talks with Barcelona.
It's emerged in the last 24 hours that negotiations have stalled over the length of contract Xavi is seeking, which has alerted both United and Chelsea.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson sees Xavi as the ideal playmaker to succeed veteran Paul Scholes, while Blues manager Luiz Felipe Scolari would love to add the Spaniard's creativity to his industrious midfield.
