Tottenham's Lennon: I could take Walcott, Agbonlahor in sprint
In-form Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon reckons he could take Arsenal's Theo Walcott in a sprint.
Lennon is set to succeed injured Walcott when the next England squad is called and declared: "I’ve never raced Theo, but I think it would be close. It would be good. Gabby (Agbonlahor) and Theo are both really quick, but I don’t know who would win a race between the three of us."
He added: "End product is something I need to improve on and I’ve been working on it a lot. It has paid off a bit with getting the assist and what proved to be the winning goal.
"I also want to add goals to my game. But I work on crossing in training. We do a lot and it’s something I’ve been trying to improve from the right and left side. I don’t mind playing either side, so I need to be able to cross from the left and right."
