Marc Anthony on verge of A-League debut with Perth Glory
Marc Anthony is expected to put his hand up for an A-League debut when Perth Glory plays Queensland Roar this weekend.
The former Celtic midfielder has responded well to treatment for an ankle injury suffered in the Youth team’s loss to Sydney F.C. on the weekend.
“We’re looking to having Marc back on the track later this week which is good news for him. He has been working with the squad for some time and just when he gets the all clear to play he rolled his ankle,” said assistant coach Kenny Lowe.
“He’s recovered well and is keen to get back out with the lads so hopefully he can push for a place this week.”
Glory’s attempt to sign Anthony on a short-term deal was held by several weeks of red tape delays before finally being cleared to play on Friday.
