Villarreal plan £17M bid for Inter Milan's Balotelli

Inter Milan are facing a battle with Spanish clubs over their young striker Mario Balotelli.

Controcampo says both Real Madrid and Villarreal are keen on the Italy U21 international, who is frustrated by the lack of action he's seen new Inter coach Jose Mourinho this term.

Villarreal have prepared a £17 million offer for Balotelli - and are willing to cough up over 50 per cent of the fee immediately.

It's mooted the Yellow Submarines see Balotelli as a replacement for Guiseppe Rossi, who is being linked with Juventus.
