Real Madrid president Calderon admits Schuster's media, fans relationship could be better

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon is standing by coach Bernd Schuster.

While admitting he wished the German would be friendlier with the media, Calderon insisted: "He's the same coach who last year broke the record for most points, his team were highest goal scorers and people spoke wonders about him.

"He's the same coach who lifted the Spanish Super Cup and the Liga. In eleven matches, we have won seven and lost two, it is not so bad."

However, he admitted that "I would prefer a different image" from the German in front of the media and fans.

"But it is an issue that we are not going to change because he was already like this before he came. He is the same coach with such defects and that special character."
