Maradona to help Inter Milan land Atletico Madrid star Aguero

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti is banking on Diego Maradona's presence to strengthen their hand in the Argentine transfer market.

Maradona is being lined up by Moratti for an ambassadorial role with Inter and Controcampo says the World Cup winner could help the Nerazzurri prise Sergio Aguero away from Atletico Madrid.

Maradona's daughter Giannina is seeing Aguero and the Atletico star has been a long-term target for Inter chief Marco Branca and Moratti.

Benfica's Argentine winger Angel di Maria is also wanted by Inter and Maradona could influence the youngster to choose the Italian champs ahead of Real Madrid and Chelsea when he becomes available.
