Capello ponders making Liverpool ace Gerrard permanent England captain

Without the disruptive and big ego of John Terry things can only get better. Milner has already stated he wants Gerrard as his captain! Rio who?

Gerrard should always have been captain from day one. The only player we have that can boss a game, control its tempo, motivate over players by example, not a glamour boy, gives 100%, not plagued by injury, plays for his country whenever he can (unlike certain other players who always seem to be injured for internationals but then play for there club the following weekend)... the list goes on. Keep Gerrard as captain please Capello, he's the only choice you're blind if you can't see that.

capello knows very well that he needs the championship winning captain ferdinand back in the team with his armband. gerrard is not a winning captain.

shame on you the British you major on minors and forget how to play soccer I rubbish this talk of who is captain have u ever had such being discussed anywhere in the world aprt from this stupid nation of yours play better football and win thats what counts stop overeratting ur players and dont allow the press and media to play soccer for you they are not registered players thats why u always fail the last huddle and underperform in all international competitions learn from the Germans you will succeed wish u good luck Capelo and stop wasting time on who should be the captain you are the manager of that team not the damager
