Nine-man Fury earn point at Melbourne Victory
North Queensland Fury have managed to survive two dismissals to draw 2-2 at Melbourne Victory today.
In an action-packed game, Kevin Muscat struck from the spot twice, while Fury striker Chris Payne scored in the 82nd minute to equalise for the visitors, leaving the Victory without a win this season.
It was rookie referee Chris Boyle who took centre stage, awarding three penalties, sending two players off and booking another two for diving.
Chris Grossman and Fury centre-back Eric Akoto both saw red for the visitors.
Late on, goalkeeper Justin Pasfield made a brilliant save to deny Carlos Hernandez, with Adrian Leijer perhaps coming closest to a winner in injury time with an attempted diving header near goal which just failed to connect.
Former Everton and Walsall defender Mark Hughes was named man-of-the-match after a big performance at the back for Fury.
The Fury remain unbeaten in their three matches, while the Victory have taken just two points from the season so far.

Referee was a joke. Go back to Scotland, where I hear you really welcome as well.
