Newcastle tracking Everton keeper Ruddy

Newcastle United are being linked with Everton goalkeeper John Ruddy.

The Evening Chronicle says on Tuesday, Toon boss Chris Hughton was scheduled to take in the Magpies' reserve team Northumberland Senior Cup tie at Whitley Bay, which United lost 3-1, but made a late change to head north of the border.

Sources in Scotland are reporting that Hughton was taking a look at Everton keeper Ruddy who is on loan at Motherwell.
