Newcastle striker Ranger: Dream to play alongside Arsenal idol Campbell

Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger admits he can't believe he's playing alongside Sol Campbell.

Ranger grew up idolising Campbell as an Arsenal fan.

He told the Evening Chronicle: “It is like a dream playing alongside Sol Campbell.

“He is so experienced and keeps you right by telling you where you need to be. Respect is not the word, people like Sol have been there, seen it and done it.

“I am not really a right winger but have been playing there and he has been helping me.

“I used to support Arsenal when I was a kid.

“So it is like playing alongside one of my heroes in Sol.”
