Newcastle to pounce for Tottenham’s O’Hara

Newcastle United are planning a bid for Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara.
The Sunday Sun says with Portsmouth entering administration, O’Hara – whose wages they are paying – could yet be part of a huge cost-cutting cull.
If the 23-year-old does return to White Hart Lane, he faces the immediate prospect of reserve-team football, although Spurs boss Harry Redknapp insists he has a long-term future at the club.
While O’Hara would be prohibited from making a temporary move to another Premier League club, Championship sides are free to make loan signings until March 26.
During his time on Tottenham’s coaching staff, Hughton saw O’Hara blossom in the Spurs youth team, having begun his footballing education at Arsenal’s Academy.

O'Hara is a good squad player - but thats where it stops.
The Spurs faithful have always liked Jamie because he is one of only a handful of home grown players.
Ironically, O'Hara is really needed now with the Spurs injury crisis. However, long term if Spurs want a Champions League squad certain players must be sacrificed to fund the 1 or 2 world class buys that the squad is still lacking.
Come back Jamie when we are in the Champions League!. We will then need a 'Man U' size squad to fulfill our Premier league obligations.
He said that Jenas was both 1, injured, and 2, rubbish. not that Hudd was rubbish. Just that Hudd was injured. I agree with you, about Jenas. He is mediocre midtable quality, like Bentley and so many former Spurs players that have seen the door recently. They are the last 2 remaining stragglers that have blighted Tottenham for the last few years. Their injuries are blessings. Huddlestone's injury is a nightmare. He has been a superb linchpin for Spurs this season along side Palacios. Redknapp really should have strengthened midfield. Poor planning and weak excuses saying a month after the transfer window ends, "we've been light in cm all season." . Don't miss interpret that. I think Harry has done a phenomenal job for us. And there may have been mitigating circumstances, that made it difficult. If O'Hara returns then okay. But the lad seems hell bent on leaving Spurs, and i don't think that is the kind of player you want in your team. Other then his change of heart, the only thing we can do is work with what we've got. Kaboul did okay for Thudd on the weekend, however with him and Palacios playing we lack any creative spark from the center of the park, and he should fill in, if/when Wilson does pick up his 10th booking. I love Modric, he is superb. But he drifts by in CM due to his stature. I think a brave risk, but possibly a revelation, could be similar to what you suggested. BAE moves into LB, Modric stays in his very effective drifting role, but Gareth Bale slots in at CM, alongside Palacios. Hear me out, please. He is physically perfect for the role, 6ft, very strong, and he has pace to burn. Other then that, he has become very tenacious with the tackle, (although occasionally a player slips through him, but that can be nullified if he's not "the last line of defense" so to speak.). He has good vision and a killer pass on him, and he works well in conjunction with Modric. We've all seen he has an eye for goal,(something we've lacked from CM), he has also notched up almost half a dozen assists from lb. He wouldn't be the first "LB" to do this either, Gareth Barry has proven that. But, Gareth Bale has something in his armory that Barry does not, an exceptional driving force. Think about it, Take Gareth Barry's (and Bale's) defensive training, and combine that with the strength, and driving force from cm, of Steven Gerrard. That player could be a box-to-box dynamo. I strongly believe, that it could be Bale's best position. Any comments?
How dare you call Hudd rubbish.
Jenas is rubbish but Hudd is class.
Didn't you see how we fell apart as soon as he was off injured ?
