Newcastle coach Beardsley talks up Ranger prospects

Newcastle United reserves coach Peter Beardsley is delighted with the form of Nile Ranger.

Ranger has impressed in the opening weeks of the reserves comp.

Beardsley told the Evening Chronicle: “The thing that Nile’s got is that he can always score goals.

“It was nice for him to score in a derby last week and he’s playing well at the moment.

“He was outstanding, and I have not seen him play better.

“The way he leaps to head a ball is fantastic.

“I know there was a lot of talk of him going out on loan, but it was great for him to do what he done in front of the boss.”
