Newcastle’s Hughton distances club from swoop for trio

Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton has distanced himself and the club from a swoop for a trio of players.
Arsenal veteran Sol Campbell, Hull City’s Jimmy Bullard and Bolton’s Andy O’Brien have all been linked with the promoted Magpies and although Hughton says there has been talk about two of them, the club is not really interested in signing any of the trio.
“There's been talk about Sol Campbell and Andy O'Brien in the past and there are always names that keep coming up, but we've not looked into signing those players,” he told The Chronicle.
"And Jimmy Bullard is another player that has not been mentioned.
"There are some players we are interested in and we're open-minded about those options."
