New York Red Bull still interested in Notts County’s Rodgers
You would have thought that bringing in Thierry Henry and Rafael Marquez would be enough for any club but not New York Red Bull.
The MLS outfit are still interested in Notts County striker Luke Rodgers who has found it extremely difficult to get a working visa due to incidences in England which have caused legal action against him.
New York head coach Hans Backe said that Rodgers’ recent court hearing went well, giving him the all clear to obtain an overseas working visa, but now the process needs time to be worked out.
“They have said yes. The second interview went well and they said yes,'' Backe said. "But it takes they said 4-to-6 weeks to get the visa into the passport. So that's the question now, whether something can happen before Sunday. Probably not.''
Rodgers may now have to wait until the January transfer window before becoming a Red Bull.
