New England Revolution’s Ralston set to retire for Houston Dynamo coaching role

New England Revolution veteran Steve Ralston will retire from playing after his clubs SuperLiga match on Tuesday night to take the reins as Houston Dynamo assistant coach.
Fox 26 Sports revealed, via MLS sources, that the 36-year old midfielder is set to replace John Spencer to be Dom Kinnear’s number two at the Dynamo.
Ralston left the Revs earlier this year to take up a coaching position with USSF Division 2 club AC St Louis but returned to New England after that did not work out due to financial reasons.
Now he is ready for another crack at the management game and will team up with Kinnear to lead the Dynamo for at least the remainder of the 2010 season.
