Brighton boss Gus Poyet will make a decision on the future of Arsenal loanee Gavin Hoyte before Sunday's League One trip to Southampton.

Full-back Hoyte misses the clash with Saints as he begins a three-match suspension.

But Poyet has been impressed with Hoyte and could yet offer to extend the 19-year-old's one month loan on the south coast.

"We are going to make a decision by Saturday. We are going to talk to the player. He was impressive in training," said Poyet.
