Nade considers Hearts future

Hearts striker Christian Nade insists the club must prove their ambition for him to stay.

The 25-year-old Frenchman has scored two goals in 10 Scottish Premier League starts so far this season and has started preliminary talks over a new contract.

Nade wants Hearts sporting director Aleksandr Metlitski to buy new players if he is to stay in Edinburgh.

"The new sports director talked to me after the Motherwell game recently and asked if I wanted to extend my contract," he said in the Daily Record. "I said we'd have to talk.

"If I stay it depends on the contract on offer but also the future of the club and what it wants for next season.

"Do they want to go for first or second place or just want to stay in the top six?

"We have a good team but Rangers or Celtic have a lot of good players, even on the bench. We need a bigger group and more competition so the team is better."
