Nacho Novo accepts this could be his last season at Rangers.
The Spanish striker's contract expires in the summer and agent Jorge Lera is due in Glasgow later this month for talks with Ibrox chief executive Martin Bain.
Novo has been with Rangers since 2004 and he said: "I'd love to stay. I've had the best years of my career at this club.
"Rangers are my team and I've been treated well here.
"But you just never know what might happen. I'm not worried about the situation and if I'm finished here then I will have great memories. Rangers will always be special to me."
