Moyes rubbishes Rafa claims of Everton going direct

Everton boss David Moyes dismissed claims they played into Liverpool's hands after Sotirios Kyrgiakos' dismissal during Saturday's 1-0 defeat.

Reds manager Rafa Benitez says he was "surprised" Everton went so "direct" after going a man up.

Moyes retorted: "I thought we passed the ball quite well. We got Mikel on the ball a lot and he was prodding away and trying to find a way through. I don’t think we let our standards drop at all after they went down to 10 men.

"We probably needed a bit more width. That was the only thing we lacked today. But we didn’t deserve to lose, all we fell down on was a bit of creativity at the top end. But I still maintain there is very little between the two teams nowadays."

I CAN'T FIND THE 'RUBISHES' IN MOYES' REACTION. I WONDER WHEN YOU ENGLISH
PRESS WILL LEARN HOW NOT TO BE BIASED IN REPORTING MATTERS THAT RELATE TO
FOREIGNERS IN YOUR LEAGUE. IN THE FACE OF YOUR SON TERRY'S ACCUSATIONS I
DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS A COLLECTIVE RESOLVE AMONGST YOU TO SHOW HIS
PICTURES ON CHELSEA JERSEY ON ALL REPORTS REGARDING THE SCANDAL, AND NONE
OF HIS PICTURES ON YOUR NATIONAL TEAM WAS USED. ON A REPORT THAT RATES
TERRY AS THE BEST DEFENDER IN THE WORLD YOU WOULD SEE PICTURES OF HIM
WEARING THE ENG NAT TEAM JERSEY ALL OVER THE PLACE. I WONDER WHETHER YOU
ARE NOT FOOLING YOURSELVES.
