Mourinho pushed for Eto’o return at Real Madrid
Inter Milan ace Samuel Eto'o was lined up for a shock return to Real Madrid yesterday.
El Mundo Deportivo says Real coach Jose Mourinho, desperate for a new centre-forward signing before the transfer deadline fell, pleaded with president Florentino Perez to follow up on claims that Eto'o would be interested in returning to the Bernabeu.
However, Florentino, who never had a good relationship with the former Barcelona star, refused to consider the prospect.
Real also lobbied the RFEF to extend the transfer deadline into last night so to assist them in clearing fringe players off their books. Royston Drenthe managed to move to Hercules, but nothing could be found for Mahamadou Diarra.

ETO'O IS A GREAT PLAYER AS WE REFER TO HIM AS AFRICAN SOLDIER IN FOOTBALL. HE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE ON THE MADRID TEAM, A POSITIVE ONE TOO. DO NOT THINK HE'S GOING DOWN, CUZ HE HAS JUST STARTED A NEW PACE OF HIS CAREER AS A FOOTBALLER. HE'S GREAT.

you are damn right Eto'o can never be the same player he was 3,4,5 6 7 years ago just because as years goes by a footballer of his caliber looses that sting in his game due to age.But do not be fooled because Eto'o is a big stage player and can still influence games. He will bag 25 goals plus this year.Best striker in the past decade after Rolnaldo de Sousa
