Mourinho: This Inter Milan always improving

Jose Mourinho is convinced his Inter Milan are always improving ahead of their Champions League tie with Chelsea.

Mourinho's Inter are fresh from their derby victory over AC Milan.

“I think this team is better than last year, it's much better. Normally if everybody is in good shape, we have more solutions,” Mourinho told The Times.

“Of the team that played today [against Milan], Eto'o was not here, Stankovic was not here, Chivu was not here, so even with some problems, we are a team with more solutions. We are a better team.

“This is now my team, a team in my image. Year after year, you change things according to your needs and your own philosophy. I have in attack the kind of players I like, players who can hold the ball and play football, not just score goals.

“A player like Sneijder is a player we didn't have last season, a creative player in midfield. Lucio is a better player in the air than previous defenders we have. I think the team has more chance of success.

“We know we have a super opponent, but Chelsea knows they don't have an easy job with us. I know them, but they also know me. I know the players individually, of course, but most of them know my mentality and know my way of being a manager and a leader. In that sense, nobody has an advantage.

“We have to win the championship, which I always say is won by the best team, but the Champions League is decided by some lucky factors: the moment, a special day for somebody, or a negative day for the other team. We hope we can do it.”
