Motherwell midfielder McGarry in Perth Glory trials
The 30-year old, who was released by the Scottish club last week, is expected to sign a short-term deal with the A-League club after an opening was made possible with the departure of striker Eugene Dadi.
Glory coach Dave Mitchell indicated that a deal was highly likely but admitted it would be a struggle to get him signed up for the clash with league leaders Sydney FC this weekend.
“It would be hard to rush him through, but you never say never,” Mitchell said.
“Say two of the players in Socceroos gets injured and some of the boys here are still sick and don’t recover, we might try to push it through because he looks quite good.
“From all accounts, he’s quite a good player. For our level, he’d do quite well.”
