Morrison: West Brom best place for Dorrans

West Bromwich Albion midfielder James Morrison hopes Graham Dorrans stays at the Hawthorns.

West Bromwich Albion midfielder James Morrison hopes Graham Dorrans stays at the Hawthorns.

He believes Dorrans would be better served staying at The Hawthorns, claiming the speculation over his future will simply give him more confidence in his own abilities.

Morrison told the Birmingham Mail: “I can only go from past experience.

“When I was in the Premier League there were bids in for me and when I stayed it was better for me personally.

“It only made me stronger and made me perform better. It is obviously a good boost when there are other teams interested.

“It shows you are doing a good job and they want to be a part of it.

“I’m sure Graham will go on to bigger and better things but he is just learning his trade at the moment.

“He is a quiet lad at the best of times so he is comfortable and if he goes to another club it might take him time to settle in."
