Chad Marshall

Born in Riverside, California, Chad progressed to the MLS through starring in College Football where he was rated as the top college soccer recruit for his year by American soccer media.

Marshall was then drafted number 2 in the 2004 MLS draft by Colombus Crew, This draft was considered to be a super draft for the number of stars recruited. Marshall's strongest campaign with the Crew came in 2008. He anchored the defense on the squad the won both the Supporters' Shield and the MLS Cup 2008, a game in which Marshall scored the game winning goal. After the season he was voted to the MLS Best XI and was also awarded the MLS Defender of the Year award
