Middlesbrough go for Celtic's McDonald

Middlesbrough have made a £3.5million bid for Celtic striker Scott McDonald, reports the Scottish Sun.

Boro manager, and former Celtic chief, Gordon Strachan has met what he believes is Celts' valuation of McDonald who is recovering from a hernia operation.

Now it's up to Hoops boss Tony Mowbray and chief executive Peter Lawwell to decide if they want to cash in.
