Messi excited to play with new Barcelona teammate Villa

Lionel Messi has welcomed the prospect of playing alongside new Barcelona signing David Villa.

The Argentina star admits he was impressed by Villa's form during the World Cup.

"Villa will be very good for us," said Messi. "He showed what he could do last season with Valencia and also with the Spanish team.

"I hope to meet him for preseason and to start playing together."
