Melbourne keeper Moss wins pre-season battle
Melbourne Victory goalkeeper Glen Moss has edged in front of youngster Mitch Langerak for the number one spot at the club.
The New Zealand international has impressed coach Ernie Merrick enough for him to be rated as the first choice shot-stopper, culminating in a brilliant performance in the final pre-season hit-out yesterday against Adelaide United (2-1 win).
"Glen Moss was outstanding," Merrick said. "He didn't have a lot to do, but whenever we had to call on him, he was outstanding.
"The difference is the maturity and experience Glen has.
“That's not putting Mitch down. He's got a big future."
