Scott McDonald again scored as Celtic just did enough away from home to account for Hamilton Academical 2-1.

Scott McDonald again scored as Celtic just did enough away from home to account for Hamilton Academical 2-1.

The Australian international netted Celtic’s second goal in the 29th minute with a low, clinical finish after good work from Aiden McGeady and Georgios Samaras.

Shaun Maloney had earlier scored for the Hoops in the 15th minute before McDonald doubled the advantage and set up the win that put the Glasgow giants back on top of the Scottish Premier League table.

McDonald was substituted in the 73rd minute but just over ten minutes later the Accies sent a scare through the Celtic camp when Mikael Antoine-Curier gave the home side some hope with an 84th minute goal and then needed keeper Lukasz Zaluska to pull off a brilliant save to deny Hamilton a point.
