McDonald fires a brace in Celtic’s Scottish Cup win

Scott McDonald netted twice overnight as Celtic accounted for Falkirk 4-0 in the Scottish Cup.

The Australian striker struck in the 28th minute to open the scoring with a close range tap-in before doubling the advantage eight minutes after the break when he turned and fired home in the area.

Patrick McCourt netted his first goal for the Hoops, a cheeky lob, in the 64th minute before New Zealand international Chris Killen added a fourth with just over 15 minutes remaining.

Celtic now move into the fourth round after the win, showing their intent to retain the trophy.
