Martinez released by Chicago Fire

Chicago Fire have released midfielder Julio Martinez.

The 24-year old El Salvador international joined the Fire on loan from Mexico’s Club Leon in January but after making just three MLS appearances has been waived.

"We would like to thank Julio for his contributions to the Chicago Fire and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors," said Fire Technical Director Frank Klopas.
