Man Utd want Chelsea winger Cole on Bosman

Manchester United are making a Bosman move for Chelsea winger Joe Cole.

The Daily Star Sunday says United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will try to land Cole on a free transfer if the midfielder fails to agree a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

Fergie has always wanted Cole, 28, and could now have his best opportunity to clinch a deal.

The Scot snapped up Michael Owen on a free transfer from Newcastle last summer and is now eyeing a similar swoop.
