Man Utd, Tottenham head queue for Chelsea outcast Joe Cole

Joe Cole was again ignored by Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelott for last night's Champions League defeat at Inter Milan.

The Mirror says the ex-West Ham man has yet to sign a new deal at Chelsea, even though his contract expires in the summer. Of course, he wants to stay with the team closing in on a third Premier League title.

But, should Ancelotti decide he can do without the playmaker, there will be no shortage of takers - both home and abroad.

Harry Redknapp at Spurs has too much respect for Chelsea to openly declare he'd be in there like a shot - but he would be.

Manchester United would be sorely tempted to take Joe Cole for free while, as would Liverpool, Everton and a host of other clubs both here in England and abroad.

Chelsea's Summer 2010
Villa, Aguero, Silva, di Maria and Lukaku are coming to Chelsea, you can have Joe Cole
GK: Cech appears over his earlier difficulties however if he slips again expect a move for Akinfeev, who is part of Chelsea's long term plans anyway, will probably come to PL soon but not with Chelsea, loaned to minor club (Sunderland, Stoke etc)
DEF: Most likely out, Ferreira, Belletti and Alex. Alex will probably form part of a move for Ribery or Schweinsteiger. Likely arrivals appear to be Newcastle Utd’s Steve Taylor and Neven Subotic, outside chances are Dani Alves and Juan Manuel Vargas, both would be quality signings though. If Ashley Cole is forced out by the vicious English press and joins Real or Barca hopefully we can get either Sergio Ramos or Dani Alves from them and Vargas to compensate for Ashley leaving.
MID: Most likely out, Deco, Malouda maybe Joe Cole and Michael Ballack as well, though these are less likely. Ribery is probably going to RM, but we are still a chance, Alex therefore will likely form part of a swap for Schweinsteiger. David Silva and Mata are both possibilities, particularly if Joe Cole goes, the possibility of Villa at Chelsea as well may tip the scales in our favour ahead of Man U. RVDV could be a cheap AM option, if Hamsik goes to Inter he's probably in, we'll wait and see how Dzagoev and Pjanic continue to develop. Milos Krasic, Angel di Maria and Urreta are all options for the Left side with Zhirkov and Kakuta (Malouda leaving), di Maria and Krasic or di Maria and Urreta as the later pair are also back up options up front (ala how we occasionally use Joe Cole). Thiago Alcantara will be competed for (versus Man U) as will Gai Assulin (versus Arsenal). Kaka is an outside chance he's unhappy at Real and Carlo is an old mate of his, while Shaktar's big winter signing Alex Teixeira, the best player in Egypt last year is a seriously good prospect to take up where deco left off. Portuguese stars Joao Moutinho, Raul Meireles and Ruben Micael are also worthy of some consideration. likely signings are probably: di Maria, RVDV, Schweinsteiger, Silva with Alcantara, and Urreta signed but loaned back to their respective clubs.

FWD: Pato or Aguero, we need a young forward who is a proven scorer, Pato would be preferable due to the Ancelotti connection, but we’ve been consistently linked to Aguero…either would be fine and wouldn’t be needed until Anelka goes, that could be this summer, I’d personally prefer next one though, so Pato/Aguero could have 12 months more at their respective clubs. I can't see both coming, well at least not at the moment, a future attack comprising Pato, Aguero and Lukaku is salivation worthy though.
The all important 2nd/3rd Striker which we really lack at present, sell Kalou, though not to any EPL clubs, Barca were apparently interested in him not long ago, that would be fine. Villa would be great, imagine him up front with Drogba. Bafetimbi Gomis is also known as little Drogba, enough said. Nilmar is now starting for Brazil but is really only the 3rd striker at Villareal, he’d be easy to tempt away.
The youth striker. We already have Sturridge, Borini, Kakuta, di Santo and Miroslav Stoch for the future up front, add Pato or Aguero and the only thing missing is a Drogbalike, like Romelu Lukaku, he is killing in the Belgian league, he’s only 16 he’s 6ft 3 and his favorite team is Chelsea, he must come to the Bridge!
Word is that RM have signed Sergio Canales up on a six year deal, but we could also consider bring Iker Muniain or Isco from Spain or Christian Erikson from Ajax to the Bridge, but they would probably force out di Santo (toss up).

Joe Cole is a great winger, wit him playing for United will really boost his confidence, he will have a good time. Up united.

Joe Cole would be a welcome addition at United!!!! As Giggs is getting older he will play fewer games next season and a strong squad is what we need, i think a lot of it will depend on Nani whether he stays or goes but i recon Valencia, Nani, Cole and Park they can all play both left or right side of midfield and Cole is already a proven tallent not a player for 3 or 4 years down the line which is what we need!!! Fergie sign him up, Fergie sign him up!!!!
