Man Utd signing Bebe scores first Portugal U21 goal

Manchester United enigma Bebe struck his first goal for Portugal U21 yesterday.

The £7.4million striker - who arrived at Old Trafford in the summer from Vitoria Guimaraes - has caused concern for United fans after manager Sir Alex Ferguson admitted that he had never seen him in action, even on video.

But the powerful striker offered evidence that he is one for the future by hitting the back of the net for Portugal's youngsters.

Bebe picked up the ball inside the area before driving it into the net from an angle - albeit with a big help from the sloppy Macedonia goalkeeper.

After Portugal's 3-1 victory, Bebe will now return to Carrington in a bid to break into United's first-team plans.
