Man Utd said to have known Rooney concerns before World Cup

Manchester United knew about Wayne Rooney's private life concerns before the World Cup, it has been revealed.

The Sun says Old Trafford insiders knew of Rooney's off-field activities BEFORE the start of the finals on June 11.

A Manchester United source told The Sun: "The relationship with this woman was hardly a secret within the club - but Wayne was always hopeful it would not be known by everybody.

"Unfortunately for him, everything has been made public."
