Man Utd linked with late swoop for Canales

The Sunday People is reporting that Manchester United are set for a late swoop to secure the services of Racing Santander teenager Sergio Canales.

Canales is out of contract at the end of the season, and it is thought that any deal would involve Canales being loaned back to Racing for a season in order to gather first-team experience.

Reds boss Sir Alex Ferguson is allegedly staging a meeting with Canales and his father Angel in order to discuss the possibility of a move to England. It is also thought that the 18-year old would be open to a move to Old Trafford.

I thought this lad has already signed a pre-contract agreement with Real Madrid? It was reported a good week or so ago.
