Man Utd legend Robson: Carra, Gerrard must be suffering at Liverpool

Manchester United legend Bryan Robson says Liverpool heroes Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher will be hurting over their failure to compete for the Premiership title.

Robson didn't taste Premier League success until his late 30's with United.

“I know how players like Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher must feel,” Robson wrote in his programme notes for United's win over Liverpool.

“As a United player, it was horrible having to watch Liverpool lift trophy after trophy while we had to settle for the odd cup success,” the former Manchester United captain continued. “Before United’s title win in 1992-93, it had been 26 years since the club had last lifted the trophy and believe me, we all knew about it — everybody reminded you.”
